Why is it when I use this the audio starts mismatching with the video if I increase the speed

This extension is super helpful and I love it works on a majority of websites but sometimes doesn't work with specific video players on certain websites. A feature someone else mentioned a long time ago that I've also thought would greatly improve this is the ability to block it from changing the speed on certain websites/pages sometimes I'll be watching a livestream at the same time as watching a sped up video for a homework assignment and then the livestream bugs out because its being played fast.

I LOVE IT BUT IT HASN'T THE BUTTON FOR 3x, 4x, etc. if i wana speed a video more than 2.25 then I need to guess en the slider the value and I waste time.

Great app! Curious if it's on the roadmap for the following: 1) Be able to choose/change the default speed buttons - I sometimes use 3X or 5X to breeze through instructional videos to find a spot in the video but it takes extra clicks to get to above 2.25X 2) Have a keyboard shortcut to quickly change speeds - Youtube has a shortcut and that's super helpful to quickly adjust speeds without clicking above to the extension Thanks!

I like it! I'd give it 5 stars if I could block it on certain websites. Example: I view my security camera from Nest but it's speeding it up because I'm watching something on another site at 2x. Same with Tweetdeck, speeding up GIFs and such. If I could simply block it from accessing certain domains, it'd be 100x better.

Now whenever I use it on disney plus it barely functions at all when at 2x playback speed

Wonderful app. Would be 5 stars if I could set 1x for some sites/tabs (for music) and a different speed for other stuff. Why listen to both at once? 1) I don't; while the extension is set at 2x, it'd just prevent the music videos from starting out at 2x speed; or 2) if I did, the music'd be quiet background noise for a more "boring" speaker. Thanks for making this app.

I love this extension. It's really great. I guess if I had to request one change it would be that I think it would be helpful if the slider at top moved to match any selection you might make below. It would make fine tuning the speed selection a little more intuitive. For instance, if you choose 2.25x at the bottom, it would be nice if the slider at top moved to the 2.25x position, so if you need to make it slightly faster or slightly slower with the slider, it would require less fiddling on the user's part.

I loved this for almost a year but now is really hard to use, it's tiny and difficult to select speed. EDIT: bug fixed, now works wonderfull like before.

Worked very well till 2 days ago....Now for some reason its interface has become long and narrow. Its is becoming really difficult to change the playback speed UPDATE - Now its working fine. Thank you for this great extension!!

Hey y'all, While waiting for an update to fix the layout of the extension. I wanna share a tip in using the "squeezed extension", I found out if I clicked on the speed control circular button, then using left/right direction arrow, it actually works fine! This is is the best speedup extension I found and I really want it to do well! 1 start deducted until the layout bug is fixed tho. Problem fixed, review score back to 5. The new version looks pretty cute! The squeezed layout bug was fixed and the speed is max to 5x (this is crazy!!).

@jai it's working fine but can I request some shortcut / hotkeys to control the speed in future updates, when this extension stopped working then I was using some other extension and it has a feature of shortcut keys which I felt comfortable, and as always Thanks for the update

Finally UI Issue is fixed, Love this extension, I have been using this for more than two years.

It worked great inittially, had some issues for a while. They then fixxed the glitch and is working great again.

The app is back up and working properly so I put it back to the 5 stars it deserves.

Glitch has been fixed and now shows all speed options. Thx for fixing it.

loved this extention and has been very useful. however the gui is tiny now and doesnt fit what its supposed to and its very difficult to change the speed

this was the best chrome extension available for adjusting playback speed but idk what happened recently where I can't seem to view any preset speed options or change it thought the slide, the whole thing became sorta like a rectangle that doesn't work probably please fix it

I used to love the app, it worked really well and was my favorite to watch videos faster. Something happened so I can't view the blocks or move the slider to control the video playback speed. I hope this can get fixed with an update.

This extension used to be the best thing ever no complaints, perhaps an option to edit the speed buttons. But now all the buttons are cut off and I can only see a third. Is there any way to fix this? Please I cant stand watching videos and not be in control of the speed

Great extension, Was using for more than two yrs but i don't know why the interface got change, I mean it got shrunk down into an vertical rectangle instead of Usual Squared shape UI, So the Speed Buttons are also limited to just three speeds(0.75x, 1.10x,1.75x) and other speed button are hidden and can't be clicked although slider is present but that too is squeezed so it doesn't work efficiently. The reason for this behavior Maybe cause i am on Windows 11 and also updated the app through Microsoft Store and that included Extension Management App(Can't remember the name of app) too. So Please look to it and solve it as quickly as possible.

Hello, it was working fine from 2 years but since today this issue is popping up on my chrome browser, no matter which OS I use where only part of the dashboard (the first grid is accessible for speed increase) Please fix asap

love this app! use it all the time. Though since yesterday it seems to have a weird format. bug fix would be great! :)

I have loved this extension but the window interface has shrunk in a bizarre way and it can't be toggled up and down anymore. At first it worked like a charm. Whatever setting you left it on, all videos played at that speed till you changed it. Then after one update (either of Chrome or Mac OS) you had to re-select the desired speed each time. even if it showed "1.25x" it would be playing at 1x until you re-selected it. But fine. now the drop down field has become a long vertical slice of what used to be, impossible to access the controls. the slider is impossibly narrow, cannot control. I removed and re-installed, but no improvement. What happened?

My extension is not working properly, the full extension window is not visible to me, please resolve my problem.

Loved the plugin and I install this in every browser I use. But I just noticed that the popup has a width issue. It used to be about 350px wide, now its cramped to 100px.

Latest browser update broke the extension, now it only shows the left most third of the UI.

I loved this chrome extension but there seems to be a glitch in it currently - the panel for selecting the speed has shrunk and only some speeds are visible. I could go back to using this extension if it were fixed!

Been using this for a while now, but recently it has had sizing issues so that I can only click on the left side options (0.75, 1.10, and 1.75). The bar is available so I can manually pick the speed, but then the whole program seems to freak out and spasm. Loved this up until now. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

Works great on one computer... but on another the pop-up window is mis-sized, so I can only access .75x, 1.10x and 1.75x

Doesn't seem to work anymore with Amazon Prime.

The interface looks cropped so some buttons are not visible anymore.

Simple and Effective, I would just like the developers to add ability to play video at different speeds in different tabs. So that I would be able to play high speed video in one tab and normal video in another

Excellent extension. The only thing that could make it better is if you could customize the settings for each button. I don't us anything between 1 and 1.75 and some videos actually benefit from even faster speeds than 2.25.

Does what it says it would, and only that! Heck, it's able to speed-up ads, too! xD Having another "Enhancer" add-on around, I happened to noticed that it constantly applies the set video speed every second or so. It doesn't look like it hurts CPU performance though and I wish its frequency is lessened. This doesn't badly affect it though. An option to remember or reset upon chrome closure would be nice, but it's good as it is. Thank you! Platforms tried on: Youtube, Netflix

Fab!!!!! I was looking for an extension which allows me to select very granular speed level and this does exactly the same. It has a bar which does the job perfectly!

I feel like this would be pretty great if it actually worked. Doesn't matter what buttons I press or what number is displayed, the speed of the video remains unchanged.

It's actually quite useful, it works with other websites too not just netflix which surprised me because i love to watch videos in 3x speed.

I love this app and it's ability to play up to 4x speed. One issue I haven't figured out yet is how to play one video at a normal speed on one tab and another video at a faster speed on a different tab. There is probably a way to do this I'm just not great at technology. Another issue I have is with videos with a built in speed feature and having this extension. The extension overrides the built in feature and it can get confusing when I don't realize I have it activated. TLDR: Overall a great extension, but not the most user friendly when trying to play multiple videos at once or videos with a built in speed function.

Currently it is ok but I like Global Speed extension a lot because it has options like 2.5, 2.75 and higher speed also. There are buttons which increase and decrease speed like .1 and there are keyboard shortcuts also. Please add more features, currently that is making playback issues so I tried 10 others but these is the closest and best so looking forward for improvement.

Works great, only wish the speed could be set for each site separately instead of a global setting. I watch everything at atleast 1.25x, but music sounds odd at that speed so have to change it back on any music streaming site.

Been using this extension for around 9 months now and i will say its easily the best helpful speedup extension. I like that it can go up to 4x instead of just 2x like many others which is a huge time saver especially for breezing through my online recorded lectures where some lecturer speaks slowly that even on 3x sounds normal. Been using 3x alot and did not notice any choppy issues like some stated. Might be because of their CPU/GPU/Hardisk configuration. I have a decent laptop (i5-8250u 8gb) and it works like a charm so should work perfectly on many devices out there except for very old devices

OMG, this is the most essential extension I've ever downloaded. Are you the "MTV generation"? --do you get stuff at twice the speed most people do? Then why watch videos at "slow people" speeds. I love 1.25, but often go to 1.5. There's just a certain freedom to intake media at your speed instead of the speed that some jerk editor, producer, or director decided they needed to spoon feed you at.

works great but if you adjust speed inside video, it does not overwrite extension speed. second issue is that livestreams are also attempted to fast forward. i spend so long wondering what issue i was having till i realise the extension was attempting to fast forward my livestream too.

It worked great for awhile but recently everything I've 2x has been really choppy. The audio is fine but the video just sort of skips frames very frequently. Maybe this is a problem on my end but just wanted to note it anyway in case it isn't.

Excellent! Other speedup extensions don't work on prime video or netflix, but this works on all sites along with other sites like youtube in which other extensions work!

Replaces Amazon affiliate links with their own (which is against Amazon ToS) and also needs to read my browser history for some reason? Overall a pretty scummy way to steal affiliate links for money.

App does what it says it does, so that’s a plus. A few questions/suggestions however: • Why does it need permission to “Read the browsing history”? • Why does it overrule speed settings in YouTube, even when site access for YouTube has not been explicitly allowed? • Keyboard shortcuts would be a nice bonus.

Very poor, no hotkeys and difficult to adjust speed. I don't recommend.
