BUG: I worked from 20:00 to 4:00 the following day. in the Dashboard it summed all the hours for the following day, (it doesn't make the simple distinction how much time was today and how much I did yesterday).

There is a minor annoyance, and it would be nice if it got fixed. The toolbar icon is always colored when the browser starts, even if the timer is inactive. You have to click it to turn it to the proper state.

Recently stopped giving the timer option besides calendar items in google calendar and in todoist.

As of yesterday, 08/11/2022, the Clockify Chrome extension is no longer integrating with our Asana software (one of the main reasons we chose Clockify initially). When we asked Clockify customer service why is is no longer working, the response was "Our team released a new version of the Chrome extension with a fix for the Asana timer that is still in the review in the Chrome store. As soon as it gets officially released I will reach back to let you know." It seems they released a version yesterday that was broken and not thoroughly tested and now they are scrambling to attempt to fix what they broke, but are being slow about it. Why not just revert back to the 08/10/2022 version which was working and regroup rather than forcing your users to keep the broken version just released? Not happy about this at all. Very unprofessionally handled.

Dark Theme is BROKEN! When using the calendar integration feature, the imported calendar events use white text on a light blue background. It is nearly impossible to read! Please fix Dark Mode. Also, when manually entering a time entry, please select all the existing text when tabbing through the fields. a) selecting the text will match the behavior of every other app/website ever; b) makes typing the data so much easier because we won't have to backspace over the bad existing data

I asked about adding live Pomodoro timer in the chrome extension icon which the Clockify team has added. I'm amazed at your customer centric team. Love you guys. Keep improving. :)

Pretty slow, and sometimes just doesn't work, only shows a gray box. Also wish there was a setting to have it open in the current tab, rather than always open in a new tab.

Good Customer Service! Worked with me to fix lagging extension!! I began to see degraded performance after using the app for several months. I reached out to Clockify customer service expecting a canned response with little assistance.... To my surprise, Sara worked at length to help address and ultimately FIX the issue with a app update. The extension works great for me now. To anyone who has issues with the extension, I'd recommend reaching out to Clockify customer service, they are adamant about helping solve your issue.

It's free, but goodness it's an ugly looking interface and a bit clunky to use.

I have been using it over a year now. The chrome extension is very slow. They have put a full react into it. You use react to design complex websites. And every time you open the extension, it loads the the react page from ground up. Opening project/tasks and tags drawers is also very slow. So in the end, I have stopped using tasks altogether as selecting a task takes a long time from the extension and also you can't download. Windows desktop client is also very slow. But when I'm coding I'm using non-official VS Code extension for clockify. It's the best thing to clockify.

It's useful but I couldn't find out how to start the Pomodoro timer. I enabled it in the settings, but then wondered ......"How do I make it start?" I finally figured out that it starts by itself, but I prefer a seperate Pomodoro timer I can start and stop when I like, and shows the number of Pomodoros I do each day/week/month. For example Marinara which works well in combination with Clockify. I start the Pomodoro when I feel like doing a 25 minute burst of activity and change the task on Clockify to show what I was working on. Perfect.

This is really useful. I have one suggestion. It would be really useful to see the current running timer on the extension icon, if that is possible. Then you wouldn't need to click on it to see how much time you've already spent on your current task

Tomáš Bohuněk July 26th, 2021

It would be great simple extension to start/stop measurements, if it didn't require to read all data on all websites. I understand why, but it should be opt-in, not a requirement if I don't intend to use the automated tracking feature. Better to just use the clockify.me website.

I love clockify, thanks to all for this amazing project! The only concern about Chrome Extension is that the code injected (I'm using azure devops) when you open a work item, takes a while to load. This leads to unwanted clicks on the start timer and as a result switching tasks without wanting to. I remember that this behaviour wasn't like that.

I love this extension so much, especially considering the fact it has a super useful pomodoro timer. I've tried tons of other pomodoro/time management extensions and this one has surpassed them all by far. I have ADHD and this makes a huge difference in helping me get my work done. Thank you Clockify team!!

I have been using clockify in a browser tab since an year & had absolutely loved it & I atleast recommended to another 20 people. All of a sudden the clockify isn't coming u[ in the browser tab & instead notified me to use browser extension. So I added this browser extension & I am unable to login. The Login with OATH2 button doesn't work, after clicking forgot password enter the email, the Reset password button doesn't work. So I decided to create a new account & clicked on Signup & see this message "Something went wrong. You can try reloading the page, or go back". Pathetic.

This was working really well all through 2020. I don't need fancy integration - I just need to chrome extension to work so I can turn on/turn off the time tracker. These days when I click on the extension icon in my browser, I just get a blank drop down box. It's beyond annoying. I've uninstalled/reinstalled, logged out/back in....and nothing seems to fix this issue. I'll be looking for an alternative.

Raman Gupta January 6th, 2021

I am trying Clockify and am liking it so far. My main complaint right now would be the Pomodoro timing support is a bit clunky. The Pomodoro client state (in the extension) is "lost" when changes to time entries are made directly on the Clockify dashboard. For example, if a timer is started on the dashboard, it is not captured as a "pomodoro" by the extension.

Ma Wu January 4th, 2021

I believe it has a lot of potential, but it's just so slow. Webpages and even high res videos load much faster than extension. It's really disappointing. I look forward for improvement of this, because it's really nice besides.

This extension is exactly what I needed and more. I love all the different functions it includes for free, and it is really helping to bring to my attention where I'm spending too much time. The dashboard where you can see the breakdown is so clear and organized. Thank you for this great app!!!

Broken IMO. Installed latest at 10-26-2020 and couldn't log in using Google. Now can't get into Clockify at all, even after removing the extension. Will probably have to do some dumb fiddling around with site cookies and browsing history. Stupid waste of time for what should be a smooth and easy extension to use what is typically a pretty good service.

When using Edge Chromium, the Start Timer button is cut off when on a Azure DevOps Work Item page. The upper half of the button is cut off by the title bar of the work item. When using Chrome, I don't see the Start Timer button on a work item at all.

Terrible extension, I have the mobile app and it is much better. The chrome extension keeps me logging out from the portal and I always have to login 3-4 times a day. Sometimes it even doesn't show the right time. I have to refresh it in order to know the correct stars.

My most preferred time tracking software/extension/app. (YEP the syncing is one of the best things) It has a beautiful, and easy to use design, with nothing too complicated always in your face like a lot of others In the end, thank you for always keeping the base features free.

Great platform for time tracking. Please add contact support for Google Contacts. Right now, we have to manually add contacts to Clockify, which is time consuming. Also, if it's possible, try to spring a deal with Copper CRM. Both of your platforms would work better together if you managed an integration (in my humble opinion). Overall, this is probably the easiest, cleanest, and most straightforward platform for time tracking I have seen yet. Well done!

I'm a work-at-home web dev and need a simple way to track time. I've used other big systems (Harvest) and other simple systems (pen and paper). Clockify is perfect for me. It's easy to track time and gives me the info I need report-wise. It can do soooooo much more than I need it to do but non of that gets in the way. That's the really impressive part. It took me a few minutes to get started and about 1-2 days to be really comfy with everything. I'm very happy I found it and I hope everyone who needs tracking takes a look at Clockify.

I used a stopwatch to time the dropdown and it takes a full 5 seconds to show me data, and there's a subsequent delay for each action, like starting a timer on an Asana task. If the code receives some much needed optimization, I will gladly change my review.

I'd like to give it a 5 stars but the entire reason i got this was for the pomodoro timer and it's no where to be found on the app.... I have the chrome extension installed and don't see any of the features that are advertised here in the photos... whats going on?

I love this extension. Thanks so much for a great tool. I am using JIRA service desk. It will work in the old view, but the new view in service desk does not work. I am a big fan of the new view too. I have the extension and it is not a big deal, but it is nice to save myself an extra click. Is there anyway to add this function to Atlassian integration? Thanks in advance.

Hi Aleks, a few suggestions, if I may: - the Trello start button is better in Timenotes, right on the label - would be great if you implemented that - the Pomodoro timer could be showing the elapsed time on the extension icon itself just as in Marinara ^ these would make your app flawless (for me). Cheers! Daniel

Laura Westervelt September 5th, 2019

The idea is good, however it does not coordinate with other programs as it should. Specifically, Trello, a collaboration and organization program, imports the Clockify extension to allow the user to time specific cards (or projects) within Trello. This is also a great idea, however, it causes Trello to slow to a crawl, freeze, lag, and google chrome to want to kill the script. I have to uninstall Clockify because I need Trello to work more than I need to time my projects.

The timer button isn't showing up in Wrike. I made sure Wrike.com is enabled in Clockify's integration settings, restarted Chrome, hard refreshed Wrike.com several times, and even logged out of Wrike and Clockify and logged in again. No dice. Any tips?

I use Clockify together with Todoist and it works fine. I just wish that Clockify can pull project name from Todoist as well (currently it pulls only task name). Also, I wish there was a way to stop the timer after 8h if I forget to stop it. Considering that Clockify is a free app this definitely 5/5.

Kesiena Akpobome September 19th, 2018

First off, massive shoutout for the effort behind this app, definitely saving lives. I've come across quite a number of bugs, and confusing user experience flows, but it's understandably so, since it's free. Are there plans to open source this, with a solid roadmap, so we (folks who want to see this succeed) can contribute? Few bugs I've found --- - you can add a new task under the timer tab, without actually entering a new task to track, it just adds a "what's up?" task, as many times as you click the start/end button. It should be validated - the plugin has no facility to login with Google, so if you signed up on the app that way, you are stuck. However, if you sign in to the app, while already logged in on the web app, it logs you in. User experience faux pas --- - Under the project tab, when you add tasks under a project, they don't show up on the dashboard and vice versa, so it seems the two are completely different things. The tasks should be saved/read from a single source of truth - You can't add tags on the fly, you first have to add under the tags tab, before you can access while creating a new task Useful features hoped for ---- - An actual integration with Pivotal tracker. You have documentation saying that one exists, but there's actually none. It'd be a massive value add for devs to be able to immediately start using the Chrome plugin to track time, simply by starting the story on Pivotal tracker. It'd make it less of an overhead for the devs, and managers can actually track work done - Being able to choose currency a task is billable in - Being able to manually add the monetary value of tasks, for milestone based cases, where time taken is not a factor in the value paid for it to be delivered - Following from those, being able to select tasks completed and immediately generate payslips

Looking forward for the upgrade with idle detection and other things. But before that, one major issue I am having is that the extension get stuck at the loading animation every time I reboot my computer. It only starts working again if I open Clockify's website and log in through there, then the extension magically loads. Definitely will edit my review to five starts once this is resolved.

Christoph August 6th, 2018
Christoph

I am managing my tasks in Asana and Clockify claims that it integrates with Asana. I think that is an overstatement because all the Chrome extension does is it allows you to select text on any website and use it as a task description in Clockify. That is not what I call integration. Far from it. That said: having looked at many time tracking apps in the past years, I think it looks quite promising and the business model is an interesting one. So I hope that they will eventually integrate it (properly) with Asana. (I believe they already do it for some apps like Trello.)

Clockify is awesome. It's truly a wonderful, free alternative to other platforms like Toggl, which I have been using for years. Clockify has great features and functions that allow our team to have a wonderful workflow. The only reason I give this four stars instead of 5 is because the dropdown menu in the Chrome Extension that shows all of my clients and tasks doesn't scroll down all the way, and projects/tasks at the bottom are inaccessible. I emailed them about this and will happily change my review to five stars if I can get this resolved. It may also be something on my end, but I have no way of knowing that; I have tried to fix it to no avail. I am curious if others have had the same issue. Keep up the great work, guys. Clockify is awesome!

Having used the Clockify website for the last month or so, the Chrome extension is an absolutely fantastic way of quickly adding your time up without having to change tabs or windows in your browser.
