This is one that fits into the "Where have you been all my life?" category!
That's a really useful and simple extension, thank you! I wonder if it could have a DOM element 'id' option because it's possible to use a hashtag URL anchor with a DOM id. Some pages may get too cluttered with this, so probably not as a default. However, it can be helpful for websites that don't have enough regular anchors defined. Just as an idea, but the extension is already great as is.
Simple, lightweight, works, no fuss
Best Preview Picture Award!!?????
Great! Non-intrusive and lightweight.
Display #Anchors extension version 1.4 works fairly well for me in in Google Chrome version 80.0.3987.87 (Official Build) (64-bit) on macOS Mojave version 10.14.6 (18G3020). My only (minor) complaint is that with certain web sites, in particular, a version of TestRail, toggling anchors to be visible causes most of the body content to shift or indent to roughly half-way towards the opposite side of the page, from left to mid-way to the right.
Extremely useful for finding your way around dense documents! Suggestions: a hotkey and/or context menu option that you could toggle with instead of the toolbar button; a smaller, less obtrusive display option (maybe with a tooltip for revealing anchor names?) so that it would be easier to leave it on all the time.
Quick, easy, works!
Fantastic extension which does what you need it to in an unobtrusive, simple and quick fashion. Couldn't live without it!
This is fantastic. I was searching for a way to gather the anchor point for a URL which I had done in the past but recall it wasn't a fun process. Came across this extension after a simple google search and couldn't be more happy. Great Job Rob W.!
Good job. Would be nice to be able to avoid overlap of text. See for example: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/elasticbeanstalk/latest/dg/using-features.managing.as.html
Awesome. This is great for sites that still don't have nice anchor links. :)
Works very well. Great for sharing URLs to take the user to a specific part of the page. Also nice for devs to get a quick look of what's anchored.
Great to link to a specific section of a page in a large document.
Works great! Been using it for a few months. It's great to be able to use anchors when sharing large pages with others.
As I saw from the other comments - an overview ("TOC" sidebar) would be perfect but I didn't expect that - so 5 stars...
Depending on markup, sometimes the anchor may go over text (eg http://www.getty.edu/research/tools/vocabularies/guidelines/cona_3_6_1_work_type.html#3_6_1_18_5). A "TOC" sidebar listing all anchors would be nice
Nifty little extension!
The days where I needed to go into the inspector to get an id are over. The hrefs will sometimes end up moving outside the page, but as long as you have a little bit of space to the left of the hrefs, it's good to go. Single purpose extension that works exactly as you need it to. And no need for any permissions.
Fantastic, did what i needed it to!
finally an extension that helps me bookmarking a specific paragraph of a webpage - thanks!
Appears to work as described.
