This just bring my mind to peace on twitter. It declutters the unnecessary stuff and allows me to tweak to my liking. I honestly do not know what I would do without this extension.
Awesome
Great extension, but I can't use it now. There's an issue when clicking on images from the timeline and closing it, it causes those media posts to collapse and lose your place on your timeline and the post you were just looking at.
I can't believe I just found out about this extension. Super cool! I love it, and I wouldn't want to use Twitter without it! ?
Recent proper addition of "Remove View counts" was exactly what I needed. Can no longer use Twitter without this extension.
Can we have Zen Mode back? I really liked it
Cool extension to cleanup the TW UI. These basic stuff needs to be added: Hide Retweets with whitelist | Auto Refresh Timer with auto scroll to top | Enable Show Trends under Search bar | Hide the top Tweet Composer box | Navigation Labels doesn't work as I expected (To always show labels on the right of the icons). BTW if you're a user with js blocker extension and want to use Typefully Grow Tab then you need to allow script, frame, xhr, other for Typefully.com domain.
Really like it for all the custom settings and really hope that the new "view count" will be accessible in the "Hide Vanity Counts" soon. It's already driving me crazy.
Changed my review to reflect the developers fixing their permissions issue.
Your Privacy Policy says nothing about "Browser History".
Loved it... until Firefox alerts that new version wants to read browser history. Waiting for this to be removed before using again, Update: Issue got fix. Back at 5 stars. Thx
Reads your browser history. Super scummy.
Overall has been an amazing extension, but brought here by the new browsing history permission. I checked the GitHub repo and it looks like the dev added a new "tabs" permission so that the extension can search for background twitter tabs to refresh them in the background. My best guess is that being able to read the URL's in tabs that comes with it counts as "browsing history". It doesn't seem like from the code that there was any ill-intent, but it should still be removed because once the permission is enabled, conceivably the code could be changed to read the URLs of other tabs without any warning. The GitHub repo has already been updated to remove it, so it should be fixed here soon.
Reads your browser history.
New permission required "Read your browsing history". No extensions should require this.
I love this and have been using it a long time, but I have some feedback - the past few days I've found that Twitter's Search field can no longer be clicked in and is unusable. It works again when this addon is disabled. I'm using Version 109.0.1518.14 (Official build) Beta(arm64) on Mac. If I want to search I have to disable the addon, do my search, then re-enable it. I'm hoping you can fix quickly, thanks :) Otherwise, the addon is awesome
With a certain rathead psycho millionaire buying overthrowing the previous advertising model of Twitter in recent weeks, the platform faces an uncertain future and it kinda shows. Due to major advertisers no longer wishing to be associated with the platform, Promoted Tweets these days have gone from slightly irritating corporate ads to: quite frankly, very terrible low-quality posts from random people who subscribed to Twitter Blue, allowing their takes / opinions to be displayed to you despite Twitter seemingly curating them your tastes. With a simple install, this extension at leasts solves these misgivings on web and makes Twitter a more bearable experience as it should be overall. Prior to the buyout, I've mainly installed this to remove the Topics to Follow + Who to Follow sidebar which also extremely dampened my scrolling experience me to no end, so if you're looking for that too look no further.
Very useful. However, the navigation labels can't be hidden anymore, it seems.
I love this extension... but what I hate is that the Twitter favicon becomes all weird and pixelated when this extension is enabled. PLEASE FIX.
Great extension. Disabling "like/retweet counts" on tweets is a blessing. I hope the extension can be upgraded with one more feature. I'd like to be able to disable "What's happening" section as well as the header banner on "Explore" page. Twitter curates these spots according to user's profile. I just don't want to see it. Thanks!
This app is actually great. It's basically a way to revert Twitter back to what it was years ago. Just the people I follow, in chronological order, with no recommendations, who to follow, promoted tweets or anything.
how to change width feed? I didn't understand
It's golden. Thank you!
Great
Bless you RIP twitter blue. Gotta love quality community content
Wish I found it sooner.
This has made Twitter web usable. I hope the developer remains interested in keeping this updated because constant changes from Twitter keep breaking things here and there. Update. The latest update of Twitter is horrible to use. Without this extension, I would probably just stop using it. Update 2: Needed to mention here that this app is now inserting links to third party apps like typefully and mailbrew. Personally, I would have liked a disclosure in app description and options to hide them in settings.
this extension makes the twitter web page looks clean! I like it and I hope to see further development of this extension :)
An essential if you browse twitter on the web
Would it be possible to put a setting that enables the user to hide the appearing number of notifications for another account after the button for switching accounts is clicked (the circle containing the account avi on the bottom left)? Aside from that, this is already great. Removes clutter nicely
Well this is an instant quality-of-life improvement. Thanks!
does exactly what it says
Pretty cool extension. One note though, should the zen mode hide the feed completely? I thought it would just hide all the outskirt clutter to allow a complete focus on the feed. When I activate zen mode the only thing I see is the create tweet container. Version 4.0.22.
It improves Twitter experience very much, thank you!
Extension has been terrific, but the latest v4.0.5 has several regressions. 1) "Remove lists button" is missing. Need that back. 2) "Feed borders" set to off no longer works. 3) Search box now has a white background. It used to inherit the color behind it. I use a separate plugin to change page color. Would be nice to get this back, as it makes it less distracting. 4) Before expanding on click, the last letter of "Search Twitter" in the search box is cut off. 5) I actually liked the text labels appearing on hover for the menu buttons. Would be nice to have that back as a third option, in addition to on/off. Thanks for your work. EDIT 2022/01/14: Hi Thomas- In v4.0.21, the option to hide the Lists button in main navigation also removes the "Add/remove from lists" and "View lists" options in the 3-dot menu on individual account pages. That's not optimal, particularly for "Add/remove from lists", which does not have a keyboard shortcut. Basically, decluttering and removing algorithmic content from the main view when looking at timelines, lists, individual accounts or tweets is helpful. But I don't want to lose functionality. Any of these functions hidden behind a menu button or otherwise out of view until activated can stay. For example, the previous behavior, just removing the lists button from the main navigation, met that need. I could still access lists with a keyboard shortcut, and get to lists or add/remove from the 3-dot menu, but could minimize redundant buttons in the main view.
I've been using this extension for well over a year now. It's one of my "must have" extensions that I install right off the bat. Default Twitter is just so busy and cluttered in comparison. There are a couple of changes (the inability to hover to see labels, the de-centering of the icons) that prevent me from making my review 5 stars because honestly other than that it's a great extension. EDIT I've since bumped my review up to 5 stars c: This extension is everything I could ask for in a theme. It also helps that it has an awesome creator!
Loved this extension until they started forcing their logo in the tab/bookmarks bar, its a small reason I know but this should totally be an option to use twitter default icon over the extension logo please!
Does NOT do what it claims. Even though I have changed the settings to show latest tweets first, it can't even do that. It's useless imo. Removed.
Excellent extension, makes using web Twitter significantly less annoying. Only thing it's missing is the ability to remove "x person liked" posts from the feed and those stupid "here's a tweet we think you'll like" notifications.
Nice!
Clicking the extensions icon could open Twitter in a new tab.
It does what it says it does--removes the junk on twitter so I can focus on interacting with interesting ideas.
Makes Twitter on web not just usable but even enjoyable! Clears up the wasted whitespace, and allows users to increase the width of the feed; absolutely brilliant!!
Perfect, great design. Make twitter usable on new Macbook Pro.
Good extension, just wish it had a feature to remove the notification number from the TAB name as well, not just the sidebar. Would improve my focus quite significantly as I like to create without being distracted by whether or not my tweets are getting engagement.
This extension is exactly what I was looking for to declutter the look of Twitter. I use two orientations because I've got a standard (16:9) monitor and another which is vertically oriented (9:16). This extension does everything right in the standard view, but the only reason I've got one star docked off is because on the vertical view, the search panel doesn't show up unless I zoom out to 80%. And I don't think the problem is with spacing because there's enough space to fit the search bar in the 100% zoom level.
exceptionally well written software!
Make Twitter calm again! Amazingly useful, well designed, and it works!
When you hover your mouse over a twitter account, it shows you a little preview of their profile. I would like an option to remove this. It's really annoying and I don't want that. It slows down twitter as well. Would love it if you could add this option. Thanks
Please move the search bar a bit more to the left, when the page is above 90% zoom, it disappears...
Good idea, cuts the propaganda, well done, thank you for this work
A very good extension if you want your twitter experience to be free of unwanted distractions. There are only two major downsides that I can see to it. The first being I really wish there was an option to show the uploaded media box on the top right portion of profiles, as it's one of the more convenient elements of twitter's standard interface. The second is I'm starting to recently see topics worming their way back into my feed, which were previously stopped by this extension. Outside of that, it's a very welcome decluttering tool.
It's a great extension, but Twitter's UI may be outpacing it. It definitely needs options to see Messages. Currently the icon doesn't even indicate you have new messages and I've missed days-old DMs from people. That's my main problem, everything else is working great.
Vastly improves the Twitter experience. A couple things have been bothering me, though. One, the search filter button seems to be missing from search. I frequently filter my searches to "people I follow," and I've had to turn to my phone in these instances lately. Two, I'd like a way to have the left-hand buttons be static instead of revealing their labels on hover. I don't think either of these things warrant taking away a star, because on the whole, this extension is still a fantastic and downright necessary addition to my browser.
No brainer extension for truly great experience
great
Please add more functionality like viewing FLEET and joining SPACES. Please add it without compromising the look and feel.
hey there, I don't see the "search button" on top right hand side? Is it removed by error? Please add it. It is essential to search some hashtag or keywords. Awesome Extension!
Does not remove the "Follow Topic" suggestions that are inserted in the feed. This was the primary reason I tried this extension.
Thank you. (That's it.)
I like crypto twitter. I don't like twitter distractions.
Lightweight (32 kb), and gets rid of the distracting clutter from the Twitter UI.
Overall a pretty great extension that's removes the jargon you get with the vanilla site. Only issues I have is how the search bar phases through the home feed when you open it unless the window or feed is big enough and I've noticed how the message drawer doesn't seem to pop up when you enable it (not that it really matters that much but it's nice to give people the option). But I do still prefer it a lot over regular Twitter and I would love to see you continue to improve it!
Was a great extension but recently it stopped removing the ride side tweet button
The best thing to happen to Twitter. Love the simple and distraction-free interface it brings. Thank you so much for this extension.
Awesome - thank you for your hard work. I appreciate it!
Great extension, but would like a few more options for customization. Still 5 stars, this makes Twitter actually worth browsing. One bug to report: when using the search bar, the left half of the search results doesn't work when you click on it, the search just minimizes again instead of going to the search's page.
thank you for this! just a slight blip—the search bar on the top right disappears at 100% zoom for 700px
I like it, but the (enable) message drawer feature does NOT work, or I'm doing something wrong, but I am unable to get it to appear in my interface.
I adore this extension, but looks like some coding needs updating - the search bar has disappeared and I can only get it back if I disable the app.
Such a better Twitter experience. Thanks!
It works! It declutters the interface, makes it faster.
Does what it says and cleans up Twitter UI, however it also pauses videos if you scroll even the slightest or click off to the side of the video or gif. Sometimes it just keeps pausing the video at what seems like random. It is very frustrating to have to watch videos in 2-3 second chunks.
removes the sidebar and makes things look so much cleaner, love it!
Thank you for good work
I wanted to remove the What's Happening section on twitter and also hide the likes and retweets from my Home feed as a debiasing experiment. This does the job! I think it will be great if you can add the preference of Removing Comments Count too. Thank you.
Good stuff but please, fix it so the buttons under a tweet are centered when using 700 and 800 px view!
I wanted something to remove Twitter's distracting What's Happening and Trending sidebar. This does that and more. Thank you!
Works as expected. Hiding trending hashtags makes me more productive.
Unfortunately Twitter Autoplay has stopped with this extension enabled. Pity.
This makes Twitter so much better to navigate. Extension has been recently updated to allow for further customization - great work!
Excellent. Thank you. 'search twitter' bar does disappear when browser is zoomed, though. For the way I use twitter this is sad.
I've been looking for something like this! Thank you!
THANK YOU! Twitter is so much better now.
I personally not like the new twitter design, after I installed minimal twitter "I love the twitter". I suggest to everyone to try this, even if you like the new design or not.
Awesome properly designed Twitter.
Definitely better
I'm super thankful for this extension. New twitter is awful and distracting, but now it's bearable again. Hell, it might even be better than it was before. Highly recommended.
