LeechBlock has been a game-changer for me in terms of productivity. As someone who easily gets distracted by social media and other websites, I was constantly struggling to stay focused on my work. But since installing LeechBlock, I've been able to block those sites during work hours and stay on task. The interface is easy to use, and I love that I can set up multiple blocks for different times of the day. Does everything I need for a site blocker.

Great app. It does everything I want it to do. For me, studying is so exhausting and uninteresting. So sometimes I automatically turn on social media sites to relieve this pain. However, due to my lack of self-control, I might spend an hour scrolling through social media before realizing I wasted my time. I can do this multiple times a day and you can imagine how much time I waste on social media. I've also tried many other apps on Windows, but they don't provide a temporary override option, because sometimes I do have to use social media for 1 or 2 minutes. I would donate if I could, but I'm now unemployed.

This extension is very helpful to stay away from social media websites and focus on important tasks. I'm a regular user of this extension and it's been a fantastic journey. I would highly recommend this to users who mostly works on PC and they get distracted sometimes with some not-so-useful website. It has a very extensive customization options to set proper control over websites.

Why would you need an extension like this? If you're like me and you literally type in time-wasting website URLs into the search bar on autopilot when you have a lapse in attention. It's a great tool

Incredible extension. It's great to see a really competent extension like this that isn't coded by a big company. One thing, though. Hostname blocks can be pretty easily bypassed. There's a little-known URL format that your regexes don't seem to catch when it comes to blocking hostnames: https://[email protected] Even if "example.com" is blocked, the extension will let a URL like this slide. But it should be an easy fix. Anyway, great extension!

The customizations are great. I would've given you 5 stars if would add a session system with a timer. It always has to lack something important in such apps! so frustrating!

The override feature requires the user to always type in some minute value, and there is no option to disable it. It doesn't even remember the previous value the user typed in there. Really cumbersome to use because of that. I wish things were more streamlined for people who have good self-control. Why can't there be a checkbox for each Block Set to enable and disable them quickly in the menu that opens up by clicking the extension's icon? It's still the best free option available.

I was looking for a website blocker that has the option to limit my usage of certain websites to few minutes per hour instead of blocking them completely. This extension does that and much more. Very satisfied!

Great app! There are many customizations that were very helpful to stop from procrastination or using distracting sites like reddit, social media, etc. I really like the feature that lets you put timers on groups of website or one website, if you wish. Also, the privacy policy seemed very honest, which is very refreshing in these times where big data is constantly shared. I've tried many apps, and this one is simply the best!

Wow, switched over from BlockSite and this is SO much better. Way more functionality (Block sets, time periods, usage timers) and best of all it doesnt bombard you with requests to upgrade or unnecessarily gameify the experience. 10/10

Only downside is not being able to limit a website on specific days AND specific times. etc only Monday's and Thursdays AND midnight to 5pm. at least I cant get it to work that way. Would give 5 stars and donate 10 bucks if i was able to do this. Still better than most PAID site blockers, lots of options.

When it does work, it blocks very well and is a life-saver!! But unfortunately many times the block doesn't work.

Very good extension, but you need to take your time to understand it.

I tried MindHero, which looked slick, but it was buggy, so I fired it. LeechBlock NG isn't as slick-looking, but what counts is how it works. It has many options, and so it can take a little while to get it configured the way you like. It's surprisingly versatile, yet also really robust. I've not run into any cases where this plugin has interfered in faulty ways with my web viewing. It's really important for a tool like this to give you plenty of options between "very gentle persuasion" and "cold-turkey draconian". LeechBlock NG achieves this extremely well, with its "Lockdown" and "Override" features, as well as it's various password and "retype this random string" features. LeechBlock NG is great in that it allows you to define up to 30 different *groups* of websites where each group is blocked according to a different set of rules. It's very powerful, yet in basic configuration, it's no so hard to override that you can slowly ease yourself out of your website addictions. LeechBlock NG is a great tool to *help you choose* to use the Web more effectively.

This app is a gem. Honestly it's probably closer to a 4 stars for me personally because it still doesn't really stop me from going on YouTube or Reddit as it's super easy to disable. But the fact that it's free and at least makes me a BIT more mindful is a win.

Simply, the best blocker on the market. No need to spend money on other extensions for blocking websites. You can direct to a useful website instead of just blocking them which is more effective.

not much to say except this is THE site blocker. It's comprehensive, it's detailed, and its free! That said the only issue with it is that its not too user friendly and would take some time to figure things out

This is a great extension for blocking sites. I'd previously used BlockSite, but they handicapped its functionality (by limiting the number of sites you can block) to try to get you to pay for a subscription. That extension also made it too easy to unblock sites. LeechBlock lets you block as many sites as you want, has more functionality (block groups, time-delimited blocks), and is FREE. Great work!

I cannot thank enough for how much LeechBlock has helped me. It has saved my life actually. Even the paid blockers lack in one feature or other but LeechBlock has everything in it, and that too for free. The only problem was that the extension can be disabled or removed easily. But this problem can be easily solved by ForceInstalling the extension in regedit and then password protecting the regedit. After this little bit of extra work, this extension becomes the most powerful blocker I have ever come across (and I have done a lot of research).

It worked great on my old Chromebook. On my new Chromebook it makes Spotify stop after about 15 minutes if Leechblock is running. Not sure what changed, but something did. Aside form the glitch it generally works great and I usually love it.

Better than any blocker I have ever used and trust me when I say I have tried basically everything in the market. Tons of customization, exactly what I needed! The only thing missing (maybe because I didn't figure out) is a way to block a site but keep some specific areas of the site that are actually productive, for example: Blocking the whole reddit, but keeping some subs that are helpful,

We need a way to reduce the frequency of keyword checking to lower than once every second. Blocking big lists of keywords makes the browser very slow. Also, keyword checking checks all active tabs, can't it just check the current tab?
