Ever had to do something, but got distracted by so many other things on the internet? Well, you're not the only one. Let's say, you have to work on an essay. You're trying to focus on it, but Twitter, Facebook and your mail are much more fun, so you will give yourself an excuse and you're going to do something else than you're essay for 5 minutes. And after 20 minutes, you're still not working on your essay. Don't you think it's much more efficient to have a way to block all the distracting sites? That's exactly where Do Not Disturb comes in. This Chrome extension blocks all the sites, except the ones you really need. When you're trying to visit a site which is not on your unblocked sites list, you will see a message and the site will not be opened. But that's not the only feature of Do Not Disturb. Of course you sometimes need a little break, so that's why Do Not Disturb comes with a pause function. You can set the time of the pause yourself, from 30 seconds to 10 minutes. When you're working on something, and need a break, you can easily pause Do Not Disturb and browse all the sites again. Once your time is over, all sites will be blocked again (except the ones on you're unblocked sites list). You can pause Do Not Disturb multiple times, but you have to wait between them. You can download and use Do Not Disturb for the price of absolutely nothing. If you like it, you can pay me by telling your friends! Visit http://donotdisturb.jeffreywashere.nl for more information.

Works as advertised for those who lack the self control to keep themselves from browsing sites that are not related to the task at hand, but somehow DO have the self control not to click a few times to disable the extension ... whoever those people are. However, the title of "Do Not Disturb" implies to me that the extension will also keep those sites from actively disturbing me with Chrome notifications - which it does not seem to do. I think a better name would be something like "Stay on target" (excuse the Star Wars reference). For what it's worth the ChromeOS version of the Chrome browser (ie. Chromebooks) has a built-in "Do not disturb" feature, but it was removed from all other versions of Chrome. http://blog.chromium.org/2015/10/streamlining-notifications-on-desktop.html For Chromebooks just click the notification center/counter in your task bar and then click the bell icon with a slash through it. Why they won't add "Do not disturb" back for the other OS's is beyond me. But, they don't show any signs of doing so. https://productforums.google.com/forum/?rd=1#!topicsearchin/chrome/category$3Agive-feature-feedback-and-suggestions$20%22do$20not$20disturb%22
Keeps you OFF the browser. If you're trying to focus on creating something for work, this KEEPS you off Google Docs and about anything else I can think of. If you're trying to present it, you can't access it. And to disable it you have to click it 3 or 4 times. This is a bad app.
Great for when I need to focus! This is underated and needs more attention. Perhaps the creator could add a password feature where another person generates a password and in order to unlock it, they have to do it.
