English language pronunciation can be tricky. Words are spelled differently than they sound. Learn the correct pronunciation by reading any text you like in phonetic transcription!
Using the extension is very easy, just watch tutorial video(30 seconds of time).
If you are a language learner, start practicing and you will notice how many words you could have misspelled everyday.
This extension allows to replace english words on a page with its phonetic transcription( so "the quick brown fox jumps over a lazy dog" becomes "ðə kwɪk braʊn fɑks dʒəmps óʊvɜr ə léɪzi dɔg" ). Just open any webpage and click the extension icon on a browser toolbar to convert text of a webpage(you can always click again to return the original text back).

Also you can use extension word pronunciation feature to learn IPA, just click on a transcibet word to listen how it sounds.

Overall - Simple and elegant Loved . The mouse over feature displaying spelling and onclick pronouncing is immensely useful . To be fixed . The font should be retained. Font change is not the core job. . The word stress mark does not follow the convention, The mark is displayed right to the stressed syllable alphabet. Whereas in dictionaries it is on left side of the alphabet. . Feature request British English IPA transcription option
Has word stress mark which is not provided in phonetify.
Works well but doesn't offer automatic transcription. Better off with Phonetify
