Dictionariez is a tool to break down the language barriers on browsers. (Now it can run on mobile browsers such as Kiwi & Flow !!) Just double click on a word you will see the floating definition, and click on the app's icon, a dictionary window will pop up. Really simple. The floating definition is the fastest way to look up. It supports multiple languages. And I am happy to add more languages support if you are interested. The other way is to click on the app's icon, a popup window will show to let you look up any words in a batch of your favorite dictionaries. This way you can look more deeply on the words. And it just looks like a traditional dictionary app. It has auto-completion function, word history, keyboard shortcuts, real human pronunciation and many more. My goal is providing a universal tool to look up any word in any language, currently more dictionaries are needed, and more user reviews are wanted to improve its usability, HELP me on Github! So it's not just a dictionary app, it's a tool to help you learn any language. The basic learning flow is like this: reading an article, looking up new words, exporting them into Anki after finished the article. New: With the launch of [pnlpal community](https://pnlpal.dev/topic/2/), you can share your reading with pals all over the world now. No matter it's a news story, or a technical review, or even a youtube video. As long as it benefits our programming and language community, you could share it. [Check it](https://pnlpal.dev) by yourself. Let's learn together, and grow together. Some functions you might like: * Automatically pronounce in real American and British accent on English lookup. * Native app like dictionary interface, auto suggestions when you input. * Keep your words in history, and you can manage or export them. * Keyboard shortcuts to make life easier. * Multiple dictionaries query at the same time. * Export world list to Anki, supports pronunciation and images. Best of all, it's open-source! Currently more dictionaries are needed, help me by sending me pull request or reviews, thank you. It is Yomichan for other languages. Perfect work.
Love it! this is the best multilingual dictionary I've used. Beside yomichan that I used for Japanese, everything else works just fine for daily use.
Thanks to the developer & other programmers for making this extension available. I've been using it for a couple of weeks and they really did outstanding work. ???? I had 4 dictionaries and a translator but am going to be able to remove all of the dictionary extensions in all the browsers I use since they now are duplicates. I never used the Longman dictionary before, an interesting default choice for the extension since ithink it is unknown, at least for native English readers. Changing the default is super-easy which I did since I do not need LDOCE(an advanced learner's dictionary for helping non-native English speakers to understand meanings easily). The optional shift-hover(or with a different key combo) to get a definition is especially easy and quick. Nice having both UK and USA pronunciations is very nice too, which both only require hovering over the little speaker icon. (if we could just get that for people's names that have strings of consonants ...?) It makes life a bit easier, so far. I sort-of wish I could dock it as a sidebar, ?.
