Once the audio that is playing stops or the tab is closed, your muted tabs continue playing.
Installation may ask for permissions to access browsing info, this is due to chrome's tabs permissions needing access to a tabs property of being audible.

Did exactly what it said it would do. Would like to see more functions like Specific tab can be unmuted. or if you are real edgy, auto pause youtube videos. ;)
