An extension to have fast and custom prompts sent to OpenAI's GPT-3, GPT-4 and ChatGPT from every webpage.

***How to use it***
(On first install you need to reload the open webpages to have it working)
1. Click on the extension icon and insert your API KEY.
2. (optional) Select text on a web page.
3. Right-click, from the context menu select GPT-Prompter and choose a prompt!

***Custom prompt***
You can customize the prompt as you like, but they always must contain the keyword #TEXT#. It gets replaced with the text you select from the webpage.
***Models***
Multiple models with different capabilities and costs are available from OpenAI:
- gpt-4
- gpt-3.5-turbo
- text-davinci-003/2
- babbage, curie, ada.
***History and costs***
You can access and search through the history of your prompts and save them as JSON file.
***Latest***
v3.4: Whisper API added. Codex model deprecated.
v3.3: Gpt-4 integration. Removed max tokens, now tokens are automatically computed from prompt.
v3.0: ChatGPT API integration release (initial version)
v2.7: Two-stage mode: The selected text is parsed into the prompt, but is not sent immediatly, so the user can add to it (e.g. question based on context)
v2.2: Temperature slider in popup.
v2.1: Button to Add completion to prompt for continued conversation
v1.9: Logprobs and quick toggle for models.
v1.7: Prompt can have a title to better organize context menu.
v1.6: Prompts can be opened in edit mode (when no text is selected)
v1.5: Self-checking of content script running. If the right-click menu show a disabled voice for GPT-Prompter, try to reload the page. If it still not available it means you are on a page that do not allow running content scripts.
v0.9: List of custom prompt now draggable and editable.
v0.8: Extension now work with local files too. But the user need to enable it from the Extension page, GPT-Prompter -> Details -> Allow access to file URLs.

Reviews of gpt-prompter:
It continually says "insufficient_quota You exceeded your current quota, please check your plan and billing details." API key is fine and my usage plan is still adequate, just this error all the time.
Works like a magic while not responding sometimes have no idea why. although The api key is valid updated today: once i installed this plugin I found its very useful, and have done a lot of tests. One of the most shortcoming is not able to update the prompt at the place where it is now. You have to recreate a new and del the old one which is not friendly enough
