I'd love to give this a 5 star rating; this extension would be very useful if it worked for more than a few days. But this on-again, off-again nonsense is just a waste of time. Why would anyone upgrade to the Premium version when it routinely fails?

As a premium paid member the service is no longer working and I cannot recommend it. I have sent multiple emails to the developer but no replies. I signed up over 2 years ago, and as of Jan 2023 since I last tried to use it it has not worked. Too bad it was a great tool when it did work.

Dear Devoloper, You have to RESPOND TO YOUR CUSTOMERS. As many people have noted, the paid version (at least) stops working for long periods of time. And you need to find some permanent solution for the frequent and lengthy downtimes. This review would be a five instead of a three if your product was reliable but, as many reviews have agreed, is simply is not

Dear Bharani Muthukumaraswamy, Your service is great but mails stop working many times. If it is related to delivery service then please check following. use multiple IPs also add some script with the mail and css too. also add random text, and change email ids to ensure server do not take it as spams. also use 2 way delivery ask every client to respond to random delivered mails so that algorithms working against spam do not stop your system. also use cloud based delivery system allowing each client to have their own shared server in case if they can pay for same. buying domain and emails are not costly for all your professional clients. gmail's algorithm wont let you run this indefinitely.

I'm one who researches everything - from medical to cars to cats ?‍⬛. The service has increased my productivity greatly. I used to highlight the webpage (big waste of time) and copy and paste into OneNote. Now, I send through Email This, and a beautifully formatted copy of the webpage article, ad free with documented hyperlinked source, is delivered to my email within seconds. I then send the article to OneNote via a 'Send-to-OneNote' email address. I can then delete the email so it doesn't take up space on my account. I love it! ? ?CONS + Can't Read Certain Websites: I've noticed that the webpages it has the most trouble reading are those with features that stay static when scrolling. When Email This does not read a webpage on Chrome, I try another web browser, and it often works. + Service Stops Working for Several Days at a Time: This has been happening about once a month, lately. I just try to be patient, and the developer will eventually fix it. Great service when it works. I have become dependent on it. Unfortunately, I cannot trust that it will work day-to-day. There is no communications from the developers about the status of the service, what the problems are, or when service will be restored.

Great app but the service keeps dropping out. Maybe buy in a year or so.

Here we go again. No websites are emailed to me!!! I'm cancelling my paid subscription. Has to be a better solutionsomewhere!!!

This extension is not working

Extension does not work. Server timed out. Cloud flare error in it's place.

functionally 5 stars but they have been down for over week and no support - unacceptable

It was good but it no longer works and despite numerous emails to the publisher nothing happens. It seems it is not supported any longer.

It works well most of the time. Sometimes it cannot read an article and just shows its cookie warning instead. Still, the best of its class.

i like it alot but someitmes emails dont get sent so annoying or show a time ETA plus dont like how theres limits each month :(

Over my year-plus, I have used it hundreds of times. Easy! Some rocky spots here and there with the service not working for a day or two, but it clears up. AND, some sites have hardened their paywalls so I can't get a page. But do it!

Love, love, love it! So easy, one click and articles are sent to my email - no ads!! I've recently used it for medical information for a family member under a Dr.'s care; it helped boost our understanding of dr.'s test results, diagnosis, and treatment. Scanning multiple articles, after being able to easily access them in my email for any subject, including school reports and product information when making large purchases has been invaluable!!

I think it is DEAD.

I purchased premium by paying for one year. Premium not activated. Therefore Email This extension is not working. Emailed them: no response. Tried to contact via Twitter: no luck. Wrote to Paddle, their merchant platform. They replied that my complaint was forwarded to Email This team. But I haven't heard from them even after one week. Keep away from upgrading.

The paid version is unstable and unreliable.

I have been used this since years and it works fine. But I just realized that for a while it use postmark URL tracking in the sent mails.. It was a big disappointment especially they did this without any notice.. Now I try to find another solution. I'm just curious whether they also do this in the paid version or not?

Don't expect any suppport from the developer, Bharani Muthukumaraswamy, even if you have his Premium plan. I've been trying to get him to change the email address on my account for months, and his only response was to upgrade me to Premium when I already had Premium! I even tried contacting him on Twitter, to no avail. Oddly, his other website, resumonk.com, allows users to update their accounts directly, but not EmailThis. Obviously it's not a high priority for him. As for the extension itself, it works ok most of the time. It sends a pretty good ad-free copy of an article to your registered email. It would be more convenient if I could send articles directly to other people, but instead, I have to send them to myself and then forward them. Bharani said he tried this but too many people got spammed. His server was down once, and the extension briefly stopped working a couple months ago, but he got it fixed again.

Very unreliable. It works most of the time, but then suddenly you'll find that it only looks like it's forwarding links. Nobody from the app responded to my complaint. So beware. You may think you're saving links, but sometimes you're not.

I've been looking for something like this for so long. It's so easy and simple to email articles and links to myself on my iPhone. But I am at my desktop or on my laptop most of the time when I am working and always had to compy and paste, or search for the stupid email icon on that website which is often in a completely different place than on other websites. Now, I just click. Thank you!!

I use it multiple times a day. Sometimes to be able to forward an email without all the extra screen contents, and often to save an email for later. Easy to use and delivers the reformatted email in a short time. I have the Premium service and it is well worth it!

This super easy app produces such clean, crisp and ad free versions of the articles I want to keep. And all it takes is a click of a button and presto, its in my email inbox looking all sexy and minimal. I love it.

I'm upping my review back up to 5 stars. After reporting the problem, all the emails showed up in large group. The developer was responsive to my issue. So, if you're still missing emails and you haven't reported it, you might want to do so. No emails since Oct 30, 2021. Prior to then, this was 5-star. I'll revise my rating once I see that service is restored. I see a number of other people are also reporting this. I really love this. It's an easy way way to remind myself to read up on something later. In the past I tried both standard bookmarks and Pocket. The problems with bookmarks in that I never have them organized well enough to find anything later. Plus I never remember to go back to them. The problem with Pocket is that I never remember to go back to that later either. With EmailThis, articles are in my emails that I look at all through the day. If I need to be reminded to look at something later, I can use my email's (Gmail) Snooze feature. I purchased the lifetime plan and it's been well worth it. In addition, I didn't think I'd used the PDF capture of a website at all (the PDF get's sent as an attachment to the email). However, as I thought about websites disappearing or removing a page, I decided that the PDF feature was a GREAT idea.

When it worked it was awesome! Now that it doesn't oh well. Time to find another. I paid for this as well. Not OK developer!!

As of today, Oct 11th 2021, the extension stop sending emails. Please fix the bug. I wonder if you guys are aware of the problem that since Oct 30, 2021 the extension Eemailthis stopped sending mail. It pops up a message saying an email was sent, but I checked in Gmail (also spam) and nothing has received. I'm using Windows 10 and Chrome (updated). P.S all of your chrome store support page is full with complains about this same issue.

I can saved an email, but I am not receiving it in my mailbox. Check for errors and request a quick fix.

For the past week I have encountered a fatal issue with this product (i.e., no eMails are being sent to my address). I have gotten used to random errors which usually correct themselves over time. However, I am unable to reach the Support team or the developer ("554 Recipients' domain disabled"). This is unacceptable. Has anyone experienced this issue or, more critically, been able to reach the Support team? Many thanks ...

Donated in the beginning after I saw value in an extension like this (have a lifetime subscription). Since I read a lot of articles, I'll find it easier to click the extension button and have it sent to my email later. My only complaint is that occasionally it may not save an article correctly and find myself going back to recapture via evernote or some other method.

In times of Covid - great tool to have to send local and national news items to friends and family overseas Just saves so much time

This is a great way of saving articles that you want to retain. You can then use your e-mail's search function if you need to find something later. It's also very handy if you want to forward an article to a friend (by forwarding the e-mail), and you can opt to have a pdf copy of the page attached to each e-mail you receive (I set up an e-mail account especially to receive e-mails from EMailThis, so that I didn't have any storage space worries). During the Covid crisis the service stopped for a short while, and I feared the worst, but I contacted the developer who was very quick to respond and explain what had happened. I'd highly recommend this in preference to something like the ongoing charges you might have to pay at services like Evernote.

This is "by far" the best app for me. As a travel advisor, I find so many articles in trade magazines that I can save and use to send to my clients. Excellent way to save most anything for reference later.

Doesn't do what I want, requires email verification. What I want is to get the complete page, images embedded, in my mailbox as an email I could forward to somebody else or look at myself. A kind of personal archive, if you will. Instead, the plug-in sends the article with all the images being external. If the site ever goes down or disappears, the images won't work anymore. This extension is useless. It's better to save the page yourself and choose the options you want: Save Page As... in the File menu.

If there's one extension that deserves to be installed on your device then email this is one of those after ublock origin or adguard. No need to explain what it does and how it does because it does with 100 percent conviction. The only problems I have is of no dark mode option in extension settings so as to save that webpage in email with dark theme in white background and another issue of no extension available in mozilla firefox addon store which is truly disappointing because many of us use firefox as personal browser than chrome or chromium based ones. I hope dev added this addon to firefox store and show it on his main website (https://www.emailthis.me/). Another is for articles on mobile browser, getting them to mail via mobile is very difficult and not explained well enough.

I like to control and own my data. I don't like being at the mercy of a specialty service to store and access my data, including reading lists. There is where EmailThis is *PERFECT* for me. Email is a perfect medium for reading later. Bi-directional sync, storage, egress, etc are all ready there on even the most rudimentary tools. And while I do use Gmail for storage, I can move somewhere else. If EmailThis went away tomorrow (please don't!) I wouldn't lose my data; just the tool to save it. But if Instapaper folds, how do I get back my reading list? What if sites have gone offline in the meantime? The biggest reason I have 4 and not 5 stars is that I wish they could figure out a way to save the images in the email so that they are not reliant on the server that hosts them continuing to do so. I pay for EmailThis and get the PDF copies which is an acceptable alternative but I'd prefer the images saved.

Well worth the money, I use it several times a day. I am able to print pdf of tech websites with no problem.

This is a great extension.

It works well - and as a plus, I don't waste as much time as I used to. I save the page and close the site. I may read it later in my email, or I may not, but Email This helped me to close the site.

Although probably better than most existing alternatives, there is much room for improvement. From certain URLs, when I attempt to email myself a page it grabs the right page title, but the wrong content and/or sometimes doesn't deliver it until a few days later :-| I would also ideally love to have an option to allow sharing articles to others.

I've been a customer of this excellent tool since 2019 and can't imagine keeping up with things without it. One click and I've saved/shared long or memorable articles and websites to my inbox, shorn f ads and other clutter. Email This is one of the most useful apps I have ever had. I use it numerous times per day to capture articles both for pleasure reading and forwarding to others as well as for research topics that appear to be useful for my projects but need to be saved for later. I have had no problems. After a few uses, I upgraded to Premium - mostly to support this talented and customer service oriented developer!

For some reason images not sent, just plain text.

I use Email This several times a day. Every day. It is So convenient to have the content I want to save sent directly to my inbox as a PDF. With one click!!!. Awesome App.

Very easy to email articles throughout the day without having to print, file, etc. With an automatic filter and label in my inbox it's easy to review all the articles and content I'd like to review later without interrupting my workflow

I paid for lifetime access to the pro version and I can sincerely say that it is the best money I've spent on web tools. I use it everyday, and it works seamlessly every time. For those few times I've had issues or questions, I've received quick thoughtful responses. I tell my friends about this under-the-radar tool all the time. Cheers, and keep up the good work!

I use this multiple times a day. The developer is incredibly responsive to questions and feature requests. There are a couple of weird websites where it doesn't work, but I don't think that all the cases can be covered, and the developer really tries to fix any (very minor) problems that do come up

I personally started using this every single day and it became so useful that I bought the pro version. Very useful. Its veru helpful to have a full pdf version of whatever you are saving, specially now since Googel Drive Printing wont be available from dec 2020. I am a happy customer.

Email This This is the best app of all the Chrome Extensions I use. One click, two clicks and the entire page is in my inbox where I can read it anytime, years from now if I want. Heck, my great grand children can read them, though I doubt the ever will.

Actually I'm disappointed as it does not save the entire page. Half the page is omitted. Perhaps because I'm using the Free Plan.

I use EmailThis dozens of times a day to email myself articles to read later. This saves me a lot of time. That said, this extension needs to be tweaked or adjusted because sometimes it is not error free. Articles from the Washington Post often omit the first paragraph. I alerted the company and was told this would be addressed/fixed but it is too soon for me to confirm this problem has been solved. Also, articles from the New York Times always have two images of each picture that was in the original article. A few other very minor glitches also occur. Notwithstanding the above, I love this extension for the time it saves me. I remain hopeful that one day it will be perfected.

This is one of the most useful and accurate extensions I have found. I use it frequently. I have only had to ask for assistance once and the response was timely and resolved my problem.

While it provides a decent replacement for other URL-emailing extensions for Chrome, it failed to replace a simple URL-mail to self script that allowed an email to be sent to myself with the subject reading: IMPORTANT - For Review (or whatever I decided) I like the concept of the extension bypassing whatever email app the user has because the emails originates outside the user's own email. However, I find the options to modify that email extremely limited (only the email address) and not worth the yearly fee

This extension is my "go-to research assistant" for quick and effective capturing all the import ideas that come across on the internet. Using subject lines I can retain and file every great idea I find and then quickly recall them as I write my research paper.

Perfect replacement for the Outline extension (RIP), and allows me to easily send stuff from web to email which I can then open on my phone.

I use it irregularly to send various articles. I find it first-rate. Quite often, the links in an article to forward it, don't work or are blocked for some reason or another. Great extension.

This extension clips maybe 10% of the page and fills the rest with an advertisement to purchase their premium service. Also just notice all the reviews here are fake. 5-star review after 5-star review just doesn't happen, not even with the best of apps.

This was the first time in years I've paid for an extension. I've setup email rules to direct certain keywords to different folders i.e. programming_ will be moved to my dev folder. Love it!

Works great. The email version is perfect. Sometimes the PDF version which accompanies the email version messes up a little. Hence I tend to use the email version. This thing is a huge time saver. I wonder how I lived all these years without it.
