ExplainToMe[1] is a service using the TextRank algorithm to summarize web articles. This chrome extension allows to use it from any page. This is especially useful on websites containing tons of links to articles, like twitter or facebook. Usage: Go to a website where you want to summarize links from, like twitter. Click the extension button and activate Explain to Chrome for this domain. Hovering links will now trigger summary. If you prefer, you can configure the extension so that summary is triggered on right click, via its context menu item. A note about permissions: I know the permissions requested are quite extensive, sorry about that. ExplainToMe does not check for redirection, which means the extension has to: if you want to summarize a bit.ly link, I have to fetch the link to see if it redirects to somewhere else, follow it, then check if it redirects somewhere else, etc. For that reason, the extension must be able to fetch any url. If you're not comfortable with that, you can review sources at https://github.com/oelmekki/explain-to-chrome , then install from sources. [1] https://explaintome.herokuapp.com/
