Seems to work okay on initial use. HBOMax was capping my vids pretty hard even with fiber. This extension instantly made it better (after a Chrome restart) and then works fine with forced quality changing.
Caps out at 540p but you can lower it... If you want worse quality that is.
Just wanted to leave this here for anyone having problems. Make sure you set the resolution in the extension, close chrome, reopen it, and THAN go to HBO max. This extension doesn't seem to update the resolution live. As for the app, it helped me tremendously. For some reason HBO Max on my desktop automatically sets the resolution to the lowest possible even though my internet and monitor are capable of 4K streaming.
